We love hosting buffet brunch, lunch or dinner and find them fun, easy and each one is unique to the guests so they love them too. We set up a back room/area of the restaurant so that even if we're serving our regular menu to other customers, we have a party going on.
Buffets help our bottom line and will help yours too. We'll share the top pieces to add to your growing collection of items you'll need to host the perfect parties for all your customers' needs.

Restaurant Buffet Display Equipment to Host Beautiful Parties:

Buffet Tables - the first piece of buffet equipment you'll want and need. We use and love  this 6' folding buffet table that is lightweight and easy to set up and store when not in use. One of these tables will hold approximately four chafing dishes so we often set two or three up for large parties and line them end to end. We also find that the 6' is much more affordable than an 8' table.

Banquet Table Skirting - create a pretty table top with skirting that flows to the floor and hides those metal legs. We mostly use the Shirred Table Skirting as seen above in our photo and you'll need a top piece of fabric plus the clips.  We also like the polyester rectangular table skirting here since it fits perfectly and can be used over and over again that drapes easily across the entire table eliminating the need for a top tablecloth and the clips. We launder them to save money without having to send them out.

Chafing Dishes - these are a must have on your buffet table to keep hot foods hot, there's nothing worse than cold food that should be hot and that will turn off customers and be really bad for any repeat banquet business. We love the 8 Quart Stainless Steel Chafing Dish with gold accents and you will too. The handles hold tongs  for service well. The legs offer a lip to hang the lid. We angle them front to back on our buffet tables. They're elegant, easy to set up and store, easy to clean. We stack to store them using the lid inside the unit. Get a few at this great price, you'll use them over and over. If you have the room to do it, keep a buffet table set up in your restaurant so guests can envision their own party.

Sterno Gel Fuel - A must have to keep the hot food hot in your chafing dishes, you want it to stay at 140 degrees and these work great. We love, love these sterno cans and they're a good value too for a case. We always, always have a case on hand to be ready on short notice of banquets such as wakes. Teach your managers and staff to always keep the lid on after use to help them last longer.  They offer a steady burn and one can will burn approximately four hours. Use two on your rectangular chafing dishes.

Buffet Serving Set - you'll want serving spoons and forks that won't fall into the food! So, check out the stainless steel set we love for a super price and the sizes are 8" to 11" for a good fit. Get a few sets and keep them just for your buffet service to always have them looking new.

Buffet Display Stands - try using this 4 tiered display stand to elevate food for easy visibility and accessibility too. Display stands are great for crackers and cheeses or mini sandwiches and your cupcakes and desserts will look even better elevated for all to see.

Serving Ladles-  You'll want an assortment of sizes for banquet serving ladles that can be used for your soups and sauces so check out our pick in 2 - 4 - 6 - and 8oz ladles that look good too.

Buffet serving tongs - you've got to have tongs that you'll use to serve chicken breasts, pork loin, steaks and even asparagus spears. Buffet serving needs to be fast and efficient even while serving gourmet foods. These set of three 9" serving tongs will fit the bill at an amazing price you can't find elsewhere - get a few sets for all your buffets.

Buffet Table Decor - Want a good looking and affordable way to decorate a buffet table? We love the silk rose petals table confetti in every color imaginable that can be scattered on the buffet table for a pop of color coordinating with your restaurant colors or the customer's theme party.

Food Tags - you'll want to make it easy for your customers coming through the buffet line to know what each item is, even if you're there to tell them. We make our own food tags using the computer and Avery Place Cards and reuse them when possible to save money.

These are the items we have and use over and over again to host buffet parties to suit every budget and style for customers.  Find more restaurant success tips on our Holidays ideas page. We hope you'll get shopping now for what you need to host your own buffet gatherings. Until next time, Cheers and Happy Buffet Partying!
