Sunday
Happy Father's Day!
Just a quick note today to wish you all a very Happy Father's Day. If you're in business with a restaurant already, you'll probably be busy serving many customers meat and potato dishes - dad's favorites for the most part. If you're not yet in business, enjoy the day off if you get it!
In the restaurant industry, Father's Day is one of those holidays that often can improve your customer relations and sales. It falls on a Sunday so you'll want to consider being opened on Sundays or at least on those holidays that fall on Sunday - Mother's Day included.
Often, dads just want to stay home or golf or fish or their other favorite pass time activity. For the family members, taking dad out to a nice luncheon, brunch or dinner is a way to spend time with him, give him a gift and show appreciation for all the meals he's provided for over the years. Think of your location, your clientele and the best hours to serve meals to dads in your own establishment. It may or may not be a good idea to open for service on Father's Day but, if you've never done it, you may want to think about it as a good revenue producing idea.
Consider how you will add a Father's Day dining event in your establishment and create menu items that appeal to men such as big breakfasts; steaks of all cuts, sizes and choices; barbeque and traditional picnic foods such as big burgers and hot dogs or sausage with corn on the cob; fresh fish; ham; pork chops or lamb chops.
We'll share more menu ideas for your new restaurant in the coming posts so don't forget to subscribe to our restaurant success tips blog to find out more as soon as we publish. Thanks for reading, we appreciate you and any comments or questions you have!
Happy Father's Day everyone. Cheers!
